FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you have a restaurant or offer breakfast?
    Smokey Hollow does not offer breakfast service or an on-site restaurant. Many of our rooms are equipped with kitchens/kitchenettes, and even our most basic rooms include a microwave, bar fridge, and Keurig coffee machine. We also have many on-site BBQs for all guests. Additionally, we would be happy to recommend excellent dining options nearby.
  • Do you allow pets?
    Smokey Hollow welcomes small dogs only (30 lbs or less). We ask that you call us directly to book your pet-friendly room. Please note that pets may never be left unattended and must be leashed when on Smokey Hollow property.
  • What items are included in a room with a kitchenette?

  • What are your policies?
    Cancellation policy: For individual rooms or suites: June 1 – September 30 (High summer season): A 50% deposit is required at time of booking. Non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. October 1 – May 31 (Low winter season): A 50% deposit is required at time of booking. Non-refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival date. For entire resort or large gathering bookings: A 50% deposit is required at time of booking. Non-refundable if cancelled within 90 days of the scheduled arrival date. Pet policy Smokey Hollow welcomes small dogs only. We ask that you call us directly to book your pet-friendly room. Please note that pets may never be left unattended and must be leashed when on Smokey Hollow property. Smoking policy Smoking is not permitted in our rooms or pavilion. If you wish to smoke outdoors, an ashtray can be provided. Damage & Cleaning Policy Guests are responsible for any damage caused to rooms, furnishings, or property during their stay. Additional charges may apply if a room is left in an unusually dirty condition or requires excessive cleaning. A minimum $100 cleaning or damage fee may be applied in such cases.
  • Are you open year-round?
    Yes, Smokey Hollow is open year-round! During the colder months Clear Lake Country offers all the classic Canadian experiences including the nordic spa experience at Klar So (just minutes away!). At Smokey Hollow, we also offer heat, steam, and relaxation in our new wood-fired outdoor sauna. It’s ahhhmazing!
  • Is a national park pass required to stay a Smokey Hollow?
    No. We are located just outside Riding Mountain National Park therefore a park permit is not required to stay at Smokey Hollow. However, if you do plan on spending time inside the national park you will have to purchase a park pass.   • How close are you to Clear Lake and Riding Mountain National Park?
    Smokey Hollow Resort is less than a 5 minute drive to the townsite of Wasagaming where the main beach at Clear Lake can be reached. Clear Lake is located within the national park.
  • When does your pool open?
    Our seasonal outdoor pool is open mid June until mid September
  • Do you provide pool towels?
    We do not provide pool towels so please remember to bring one!
  • Do you have guest laundry facilities?
    We do not have laundry facilities on site however we can point you in the right direction to a nearby laundromat.
  • Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?
    Unfortunately, for the time being, we do not have wheelchair accessible rooms. Please contact us directly to further inquire about the accessibility of the rooms and resort.
  • Can I book just the Pavilion gathering space?
    From June until October, the whole resort must be booked to have an event in the Pavilion gathering space. During the off-season, the Pavilion only may be booked without booking rooms for either a meeting or special event. Please contact us directly to inquire.
